Hello BariNation Family! We have a very exciting event happening this Saturday, and it is geared towards YOUR family and friends!
Weight Loss Medication & Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric surgery is the primary treatment for the chronic and lifelong disease of obesity. But sometimes, we need more treatment to find and maintain our happy, healthy weight after surgery.
BariNation has teamed with Dr. Matthew Weiner and Tuscon Weight Loss Center to bring you an outstanding Metabolic Wellness Webinar Series that will deep dive into metabolic wellness, obesity, and obesity treatment options, including exploring the new GLP-1 weight loss medications. This series will help lift the stigma and shame that surrounds not only bariatric surgery but weight loss medications before after surgery.
We are on a mission to connect patients with accurate and timely resources and information developed in partnership with experts. We are the experts in our lived, patient experience. But we need the help and guidance of experts, too!

Lora Grabow, one of our amazing bariatric therapists, is leading a very special Family and Friend Support Class and you are welcome to invite your family and friends to attend with you, virtually, as a part of your membership! We have created a special Zoom link that can be shared outside of BariNation for this event only. This is our first “public” event and we are excited to expand the support we offer our members and the greater bariatric community!
We know how challenging it can be to talk to our loved ones about bariatric surgery, no matter what stage we are in. Lora Grabow will expertly guide you and yours through a comprehensive experience that will help explain what the disease of obesity is, the role that our family and friends can play in our pre and post-op lives, and share some hands-on support strategies. This class will be a warm, welcoming, and safe place for everyone to learn together.
